El soundtrack y el documental de Zappa ya se encuentran en streaming

Hoy ve la luz el documental y el soundtrack tambien ¡todo al mismo tiempo!

Con el lanzamiento de hoy del documental de Alex Winter sobre Frank Zappa llega la noticia de que su banda sonora también está disponible para su transmisión.

La música de Zappa abarca toda la carrera del compositor, incluyendo el rock psicodélico, el jazz y los experimentos clásicos, comenzando con varios cortes desde su debut en 1966 con “The Mothers of Invention”, “Freak Out”, hasta la última grabación lanzada en su vida, ‘The Yellow Shark’ de 1993. Contiene 12 temas que nunca han sido lanzados comercialmente – incluyendo tres selecciones de un concierto en junio de 1968 en el Whisky A Go-Go, su interpretación en 1978 de “Dancin’ Fool” en Saturday Night Live y varios clips de entrevistas – junto con dos canciones originalmente lanzadas en los sellos de Zappa, “No Longer Umpire” de Alice Cooper y “The Captain’s Fat Theresa Shoes” de los GTOs.

La banda sonora también contiene música de dos de las principales influencias clásicas de Zappa, Edgard Varése e Igor Stravinsky, y 26 selecciones de la partitura de John Frizzell.

Para Zappa, Winter recibió acceso completo al Zappa Trust. Entrevistó a varios músicos que trabajaron con Zappa, incluyendo a Steve Vai, Mike Keneally e Ian Underwood, así como a la viuda de Zappa, Gail, que murió en 2015. Pueden ver el trailer abajo y ver la película en su sitio web oficial.
