Neil Young revela los tracks que se incluirán en “Archives Vol. 2”

Neil Young es uno de los músicos más influyentes del rock de la segunda mitad del siglo XX y también de las primeras 2 décadas del XXI.

Ha colocado una infinidad de temas en los primeros sitios de popularidad además de otros que no figuran como grandes éxitos pero que se trasminan en el gusto de cientos de miles de fans alrededor del mundo.

Canadiense de nacimiento Neil ha sido considerado uno de los compositores más importantes poniéndolo a la par de Bob Dylan . David Crosby, su compañero en la legendaria banda Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, en más de una ocasión ha dicho que si “Neil hubiera nacido en Estados Unidos y no en Canadá, sería más grande que Bob Dylan”. Así, de ese tamaño ha sido la obra de Neil Young durante décadas.

Asimismo, Eddie Vedder, vocalista de Pearl Jam, lo considerada como el creador del ‘grunge’ antes que explotara en Seattle. “Sus temas, sobre todo lo hecho junto a Crazy Horse (su banda), fueron, son y serán influencia absoluta en el movimiento. Neil es llamado cariñosamente por todos nosotros como ‘el abuelo del grunge’, y eso lo ve él con muy buenos ojos”.

El box set contiene 132 temas divididos en 10 cd’s, algunos de estos atrapados en vivo estando él solo sobre el escenario o con Crazy Horse. Destacan sin duda ‘Heart Of Gold’, ‘After The Gold Rush’, ‘Old Man’. ‘Cortez The Killer’, ‘Time Fade Away’, ‘Harvest’, ‘Tonigh’ts The Nighht’ (en vivo), ‘Walk On’ (en vivo y en estudio), ‘Pardon My Heart’, ‘Mexico’, ‘Dont’ Cry, No Tears’, ‘Barstool Blues’, y ‘Danger Bird’, entre muchas más.

Cabe señalar que en este box set no se incluye ningún tema de la etapa cuando formó parte de CSN&Y.
