Tony Lewis, cantante y bajista de The Outfield ha muerto

Tony Lewis, cantante y bajista del trío de pop-rock the Outfield, con sede en Londres, ha muerto. Tenía 62 años.

La noticia fue compartida en la página de Facebook de Lewis, que no reveló la causa de la muerte.

The Outfield fue fundada en 1984 por Lewis, el baterista Alan Jackman y el guitarrista John Spinks, que murió en 2014 a la edad de 60 años de cáncer. Lanzaron su álbum debut, “Play Deep”, a finales de 1985. A principios del año siguiente, habían alcanzado el No. 6 en los EE.UU. con el sencillo pegadizo ‘Your Love’.

El álbum también alcanzó el Top 10 y finalmente fue certificado triple platino, generando dos sencillos más en las listas: ‘All the Love in the World’ (que alcanzó el no. 19) y ‘Everytime You Cry’ (que llegó al No. 66).
