Un nuevo álbum “The Best” de Rory Gallagher próximo a salir con un cover a los Rolling

“The Best of Rory Gallagher”, saldrá a la luz en el próximo mes de octubre

Con 15 canciones en la edición estándar de 1CD y en vinilo 2LP, y 30 pistas en el set de 2CD, ‘The Best of Rory Gallagher’ presenta material de los inicios de la carrera de Rory con Taste hasta su último álbum de estudio en solitario ‘Fresh Evidence’ en 1990.

Incluido en el segundo disco de la edición 2CD hay una portada inédita de la canción ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ de The Rolling Stones que Rory grabó con Jerry Lee Lewis en 1973. La canción también está disponible como una pista gratuíta instantánea con pre-pedidos del álbum, y en todos los servicios de streaming y descarga.

Rory fue uno de los muchos músicos invitados que actuaron en ‘The Session…Recorded in London with Great Artists’ de Lewis, y la portada de los Rolling Stones tiene su origen en esas sesiones.

Además de aparecer en la versión 2CD, ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction’ está disponible como un single de vinilo de 7″ de edición limitada y directo al consumidor que está respaldado por el lado B ‘Cruise On Out’, sacado del álbum de Rory de 1978 ‘Photo Finish’.

Venerado por una serie de artistas como Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Slash, Joe Bonamassa, Jimmy Page, Peter Frampton, Joe Satriani y The Edge, Rory Gallagher murió en junio de 1995 con sólo 47 años.
